One Year of Jumping Rope
How it started, how it's going
In September, I realized that I’d been jumping rope around the neighborhood for a year. I’ve started and stopped plenty of hobbies—the ukulele, the kendama, sculpting clay. But, skipping rope seemed to stick.
The gear is affordable. The breakthroughs are frequent. And it’s the closest activity I’ve found that feels like dancing in public.
To commemorate one year of stickin’ with it, I cut a video from all of the little clips I found on my phone. Enjoy, and see you outside.
Special thanks to Kai for introducing me to the jump rope, Bailey for the ongoing motivation, and Yoko for skipping alongside.
